They can be used four ways:

flat: providing a cozy surface for your pet to sleep on;

folded: fits inside a standard carrier so your pet has
it's familiar, comfy bedding for vet visits and travel;

tunnel: open up the tunnel and let your pet crawl
inside;

rolled: rolled into a normal pet bed with sides that
"cuddle" your pet!
